ReplyDeleteHey Amber,
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by!
I followed the ideas of sher (2-line couplets) and beher (consistent meter) fairly closely and even maqta (ending couplet with "signature"). Played around with the radif (recurring end-word for each couplet) and matla (internal rhymes) though.
Peace,
B.R.
Hi B.R.! Thanks for visiting my blog and your kind words. I come here and get lost in your poetry. I never heard of "ghazal" and am glad you put a link so I could read more about it. Very interesting. Your piece is awesome. I love the Trellis piece using the picture of your bicycle and the one about the passing of the gentleman. You write with such feeling. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHello Winnie,
DeleteThanks so much for your generous comment. The thunder storms are kicking up here - hope all is well on your end.
Peace,
